Discover the Wines of Australia: Vineyard and Wine Tasting Tours

We have included this on Eat Out as its all about food and drink and I’ve had the pleasure of going on a few wine tasting tours and while not quite a wine connoisseur, I probably fall into the catagory of as long as it contains alcohol, comes in a bottle and is drinkable on its own or with a meal and doesn’t cost me too much I am a very happy man.

If on the other hand you are a wine enthusiast and know a thing about body and bouquet, or even got a wine cellar, you are going to have just a little more fun on the wine tour.

– Delicious food pairings to enhance your wine tasting experience, some offer a full sit down lunch or evening meal and accommodation.
 Cons:
– Some tours may require a significant amount of walking or standing and it might be worth taking a hat.
– Wine tastings can be varied in what they offer, so be sure to check the tour details
– Some of the guides can ramble on – when you really want to get to the good bit, you know what I am talking about, the wine tasting bit.

Personal Experience

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting a number of wine tasting tours, and I have to say they are great fun, you get to see how the other half live, taste some great wines and chat to the guides ( you will probably have dreams of owning your own vineyard – for God’s sake don’t go there).

And of course the vineyard owners are obviously hoping you will buy a case or two of their wine after sampling whats on offer and why wouldn’t you.
